APPOINTMENT & OFFICE POLICIES
To ensure your dental appointment at Chappelle Family Dental is pleasant, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our office policies and procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (780) 760-5858 or speak to us on the day of your dental appointment. Due to the Canadian Personal Privacy Act (see our privacy policy), we are unable to access any specific information from your dental insurance company regarding your dental plan. It is your responsibility to know the parameters of your coverage, such as annual maximums, frequencies, renewal dates, and any other limitations. We also extend the option of direct billing (also called assignment) for special considerations. However, your insurance company must accept this service.
YOUR DENTAL APPOINTMENTS
As a courtesy, we send out reminder emails to you 2-3 weeks before a requested appointment and make confirmation calls or send text reminders two days before all appointments. Although we will make every effort to contact you before any appointment, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that you will be at your appointment.
OUR CLINIC REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 2 BUSINESS DAYS NOTICE IF AN APPOINTMENT NEEDS TO BE RESCHEDULED.
Due to the continuous high demand for prime appointment times, we require a minimum of two business days’ notice per appointment should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Where insufficient notice is given, a missed appointment fee may be charged to you, or we may require you to prepay to reserve your next appointment. There are many times when our patients require urgent or emergency treatment and therefore require an appointment as soon as possible. Ideally when patients give our clinic advanced notice to reschedule an appointment, this time, can, in turn, be allocated to those individuals in need of urgent treatment. In this way, the clinic can best serve the needs of ALL patients.
